ACTIVITIES / CORPORAL
CP
DISCIPLINE IS MY KINDNESS.
Corporal work teaches the difference between panic and presence.
Implements change; intention does not.
CORRECTION
Impact is immediate.
There is very little intellectual distance between the act and the body understanding what has happened.
That simplicity is part of its usefulness.
A hand, paddle, tawse, cane, crop or flogger can each produce a completely different conversation, but the instrument is never the authority.
I am.
THE MEASURE
I don't find randomness interesting.
I like rhythm.
Placement.
Repetition.
The pause before the next stroke when you don't yet know whether it is coming.
Corporal punishment becomes compelling when anticipation starts doing as much work as impact.
A session may move through spanking, caning, paddling, flogging, crop work or other forms of controlled impact play.
Intensity is only one variable.
Tempo can be worse.
Waiting can be worse.
Being made to hold position can be worse.
WHAT REMAINS
Marks are not automatically evidence of a successful session.
Sometimes they are simply marks.
I am interested in the change that happens before them: the moment you stop trying to decide what you can tolerate and begin paying attention to what I am asking of you.
That is correction.
